In September 2020 Aequorea Ltd. were responsible for safely moving the Irish Sea Pioneer jack up platform between ENI owned assets in the Irish Sea. After a short helicopter flight from Blackpool, position and motion sensors were installed onto the platform and measured into the pre-existing vessel geometry.
During operations, the Irish Sea Pioneer’s position was displayed around the bridge along with all other in-field assets to ensure a smooth and efficient relocation. Full reporting was carried out before the return helicopter flight, ensuring that the bridge crew had a full set of complete and up-to-date paperwork before the surveyor had disembarked.
